Rating System
Want to know what the scoop is with the books I review?
5 birds = I loved it.
4 birds = I liked it a lot.
3 birds = I thought it was O.K.
2 birds = I've read better.
1 bird = I really wish I hadn't read this.

Rating system
Here's the rating system I'll be using on the blog. Pretty standard, I think, but can't hurt to post it:
- I loved it!
- I liked it a lot.
- It was O.K.
- I've read better.
- I really wish I hadn't read it.
I do have a "half" rating when a piece doesn't really fit squarely into one rating or another, but you get the basic idea from the list above :)
Now that you know what the rating system is, I have a question for you. What initially catches your eye and makes you consider purchasing or reading? Is it the blurb on the back, the author, the genre, the artfully done cover?

Welcome to my corner of the world!
Question:
There are as many review blogs as there are books out there, so why bother putting another one up?
Answer:
Not every one looks at the world in exactly the same way.
I'd like to think that I have an opinion about my reading choices that some one may take into consideration when deciding on their next book purchase. That might sound a little pompous, but I am truly thankful for people who have taken the time to share their thoughts on a story - it's given me a better idea as to whether it would be a good fit for me. Sure, there have been times when I haven't heeded the advice, but I am big enough to admit that in very few cases has it worked in my favor. Hence, the birth of "A Little Birdie Told Me".
My reading tastes are ALL over the place - you might see an erotica piece reviewed one day, and a political parody next - be forewarned.
I am glad you're along on this wonderfully exciting journey with me, and I hope to see you here often!
